The Municipality of Mashhad aims to repurpose an abandoned industrial city block into a residential complex, offering much-needed housing in the area. The complex encompasses four different types of buildings, ranging from 65 to 180 meters in size.

To optimize land usage, the design incorporates an underground level for extensive parking, while also featuring elevated green spaces and children’s play areas on the ground level. The complex is envisioned as a cohesive neighborhood within the bustling city, addressing the challenge of limited land availability in densely populated urban areas. As cities continue to witness population growth, maximizing vertical space for housing has become a viable solution. However, this approach presents its own set of challenges.

In response, the design team for this project has employed innovative solutions to address these issues and ensure each residential unit maintains a sense of independence. In addition to infrastructure considerations, cultural diversity holds significant importance in large-scale complexes. The design team acknowledges this aspect and incorporates measures to foster inclusivity within the community. By transforming this previously unused industrial space into a residential complex, the Municipality of Mashhad seeks to provide an alternative housing solution while rejuvenating the surrounding area. The development aligns with the vision of architects and urban planners who understand the potential of vertical construction in densely populated cities. Through creative design approaches and a focus on cultural diversity, the project aims to create a vibrant and inclusive community for its future residents.
