The Engineers Club stands as a prestigious recreational haven exclusively designed for members of the renowned Zanjan Engineers Association. This remarkable project was initiated at the invitation of the association, finding its place atop one of the highest points in Zanjan city. From this vantage point, it offers sweeping panoramic views that encompass the entire cityscape and the majestic river that gracefully winds its way through it. One of the notable design choices is the deliberate incorporation of exposed concrete in the roof structure.

This architectural feature exudes a strong and formidable aura, captivating both onlookers and patrons alike. The concrete roof serves as a visual representation of the unwavering strength and dedication of engineers. Its commanding presence adds to the allure of the building and solidifies its position as an esteemed institution. Within the club, careful attention has been given to creating a space that fosters close communication and engagement among its members. Thoughtfully designed play areas and a welcoming restaurant provide a warm and intimate atmosphere, encouraging socialization and interaction.

The restaurant, in particular, offers a comfortable and inviting environment where members can connect with one another and forge meaningful relationships. Another distinctive design element is the usage of a broken facade, which has become a trend in contemporary architecture. Apart from lending an artistic touch to the building, the fragmented facade optimizes the entry of soft, indirect light, creating a delightful interplay of light and shadow within the interior spaces. This design choice elevates the overall aesthetic experience and showcases the ingenuity of the architects. Considering the city’s cold climate and frequent snowfall, the design team took great care to ensure practicality and safety for the club’s occupants. A significant portion of the roof was skillfully sloped, facilitating efficient snow removal and minimizing the potential hazards associated with heavy snow accumulation. This meticulous planning and attention to detail speak to the utmost dedication of the design team in creating a space that prioritizes the well-being and comfort of the engineers. The Engineers Club stands as a testament to the visionary ethos of the Zanjan Engineers Association, which recognized the importance of providing engineers with a dedicated space to relax, collaborate, and thrive.
